Federal agents and New York City police have arrested a suspect in the murders of two teenagers who were shot to death on an East Harlem rooftop in 1995.
The NYPD is searching for a man who attempted to rape a woman in her vestibule in East Harlem.
The Cayuga Centers in Harlem is one of the facilities in New York taking in migrant children who have either crossed the border alone or have been torn away from their parents at the border. About 600 children are in the Cayuga's care. Rep. Adriano Espaillat and other local officials took a tour of the facility on Friday afternoon. They say the staff at Cayuga is doing a terrific job taking care and reunifying families.
Two mothers say that a principal has banned them from the East Harlem school where their sons are students. The moms say it is retaliation for being outspoken and critical of the principal.
