Residents caught in the middle of conflict between Cuomo and National Grid

Isaac Badaraco closed on his Farmingdale home in February and started construction soon after. The first-time homeowner had an existing meter in the house and called National Grid to get his gas hooked up. However he says he was told by a representative to wait until the work was finished.

DA: Massachusetts inmate ran drug ring on Long Island from behind bars

Illegal guns, crack cocaine, and photographs of about 400 grams of almost pure fentanyl seized by investigators were on display Wednesday to highlight what officials are calling the largest fentanyl bust in Nassau County history. The fentanyl is too dangerous to show in public. Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas along with federal and local officials arrested 11 people for their apparent roles in violent drug and gun rings.

High school football coach suspended after lopsided victory

Plainedge High School head football coach Rob Shaver has been suspended for one game after allegedly failing to follow a lopsided scores policy. It mandates that coaches of football teams in Nassau County that win by more than 42 points explain what they did to prevent running up the score in an unsportsmanlike fashion.

Hofstra student-athletes receive CPR training

Nearly 400 student-athletes at Hofstra University are being empowered with the necessary tools they'll need to save lives. The college is believed to be one of the first in the nation to certify all of its athletes in CPR, Automated External Defibrillators known as AEDs and basic first aid for adults and pediatrics.
