2 restaurants find early success launching during pandemic

During a pandemic might not seem like the best time to open a restaurant. Thousands of restaurants have had to close over the past several months. But in September, two new spots opened just minutes from each other in Fort Lee. They're hoping to make it through the pandemic and beyond.

The Supreme Court on Thursday threw out the convictions of two political insiders involved in New Jersey’s “Bridgegate” scandal, saying that “not every corrupt act by state or local officials is a federal crime.”

The justices listened to arguments that the government had overreached in prosecuting Bridget Kelly and Bill Baroni. Both were convicted of fraud and conspiracy for artificially creating gridlock in Fort Lee in 2013 after its Democratic mayor declined to endorse the Republican governor.
