
Lissette Nuñez
Lissette Nuñez joined the FOX 5 team in March of 2021.
Nuñez comes to WNYW from Hartford, CT where she worked at WTIC-TV. In Connecticut she reported on the disappearance of New Canaan mother Jennifer Dulos. The case garnered national attention.
During one of her reports, Nuñez is seen running after and demanding answers from Fotis Dulos, the estranged husband accused of murder.
Nuñez attended Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and began her journalism career at WMDT- TV in Salisbury, Maryland.
She covered the deadly prison riot at James T. Vaugh Correctional Center. Nunez won two Associated Press awards for her reporting.
She is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
Nuñez was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago and is proud of her Mexican roots. She is fluent in Spanish.
During her downtime, she enjoys baking, going on runs, and taking spin classes.
