'Shark Patrol' teams monitoring waters off Long Island

So far this summer, several sharks have been spotted off the coast of Long Island, making lifeguards and beachgoers a little uneasy. Now, several efforts are being made to help flag down the dangerous predators before they reach our shores.

Pop-up parties, large gatherings continue to defy social distancing rules

It's the opposite of what you want to see in the middle of a pandemic. Dozens of unmasked partiers crammed onto an MTA bus in Maspeth, Queens while smoking, dancing and ignoring social distancing rules. The MTA is now trying to track down the culprits behind the pop-up party. 

Long Island residents take utilities to task after storm response

The lights are finally back on for West Hempstead veteran, Ed Campis, after Tropical Storm Isaias left a path of destruction in his neighborhood on Tuesday. However, he tells Fox 5, relief should have come much sooner.  “Not even Sandy did this much damage,” Campis says.
