A beer for fallen soldier
TACOMA, Wash. -- It is a touching Facebook post that is going viral.
Brian Avey, a server at Buffalo Wild Wings in Tacoma, Washington, posted about a military woman who came into the restaurant and ordered a Blue Moon and a Corona. Sadly, because of a state law, she could only order one beer at a time.
Avey said the woman went onto explain that she was purchasing it for her brother and fellow soldier who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to his country while stationed in Iraq. She said that the beer would only sit in the empty seat beside her. And it did.
At the end of the meal, Avey told the woman that the beer was on the house .
The woman left a note for Avey that stated: "Thank you. An act of kindness goes a long way. It means a lot to me. Have a great rest of your day. -- greatful (sic) soldiers ."
Avey admitted he was touched and couldn't throw the beer away. Instead he put it on top of the cooler next to the American Flag.
