The first NYC Ferry boat left from Astoria at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. While on the maiden voyage, we saw the city from a whole new perspective. The 45-minute trip started from the floating terminal in Hallets Cove at 3-10 Astoria Boulevard to Pier 11 on Wall Street and made three stops along the way -- Roosevelt Island, Long Island City and East 34th Street.

Residents of a luxury residential building in Queens woke up to men in hazmat suits and agents carrying boxes labeled "DEA Evidence" Tuesday morning. The DEA in New Jersey arrested Brian Parker, 34, and Victoria Koleski, 29, for the distribution of dangerous designer drugs like PCP, PHP, and opioids that are several times stronger than morphine.

Queens Borough President Melinda Katz on Tuesday introduced a new public space named Women's Plaza in Queens. If you couldn't guess, it is dedicated to the women of Queens. The plaza at the northeast corner of Union Turnpike and Queens Boulevard in Kew Gardens was in disrepair until May 2016 when the restoration project began. The city put in $960,000 to restore the stonework and revamp the rest of the area.

Residents of Long Island City, Queens, say it is time to reopen a firehouse that closed over a decade ago because they fear the neighborhood has grown too quickly for current firehouses to keep up. Firefighters and City Council members rallied Friday to reopen Engine Company 261. The engine company controversially closed in 2003. On Wednesday morning, Fox 5 found Patrick Baffa cutting pipes of copper in Astoria, not 24 hours after watching this plumber from Bayside crushing pipes of muscle in Little Bay Park. Patrick learned to arm-wrestle from his father. Patrick started competing in amateur city tournaments in 2000, entered a few state tourneys after that and then laid down his arms from the sport for nearly 10 years, before appearing on the reality show "Game of Arms" in 2014 and re-discovering his passion for this most primitive of contests.
