A large tree fell in Central Park Tuesday morning, seriously injuring a woman and also hurting her three children. The tree fell on the west side of the park near Columbus Circle. The children were crying after the incident but were not seriously injured. The woman had a wound on the back of her head and was said to be in serious condition. She is expected to survive but suffered a fractured spine and faces a long road to recovery.

A witness said the tree came down on the victims, including two that were in a double-wide stroller, as they were walking. The third child was strapped to the woman in a chest carrier. They were trapped under the branches but bystanders quickly pulled them out.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has changed course and now believes that some form of charging motorists to enter Manhattan is called for. He said his plan will be different from the one then-Mayor Mike Bloomberg proposed a decade ago. While Cuomo didn't give specifics on the plan he is considering, one plan that has already gotten a lot of attention would put tolls on the East River crossings while lowering tolls on other outer-borough bridges, such as the Verrazano, and charging drivers who enter or exit Midtown Manhattan at 60th Street at peak times.

Harlem mom Diana Tinsley is frustrated. Last year Tinsley filed a Freedom of Information Law, or FOIL, request, with the city's Department of Education to find out which of the 16 middle and high schools in the district staffed librarians. Tinsley and the rest of the Community Education Council were concerned the city was violating state regulations that require librarians at certain schools, and that a lack of librarians could be hurting literacy levels.

A Whole Foods store is about to open in Harlem. In addition to the usual brands, the Whole Foods location will feature a selection of foods reflective and unique to the neighborhood. For more than 20 years, the Harlem Pie Man has been making delicious pies. for the last three years, he has been selling them out of his Harlem store on Park Avenue. Now his pies will be sold at this Whole Foods.

Raccoons aren't afraid to take what they want. Now people in Harlem say some of the animals are trying to take over their buildings. Rodell Lee is the super of a building on Amsterdam Avenue in Harlem. But lately he feels like a good chunk of his tenants aren't people -- they're raccoons. Around the corner another building has the same issue. Our camera didn't catch any because the creatures mostly come out at night but one tenant showed us a picture he took of a raccoon on top of his AC unit.

Chef Patrick D'Andrea is cooking up something different in his hidden restaurant. It is called PD's Secret Kitchen. Patrick was born and raised in Florence, Italy. His mom owned a bed and breakfast where he learned to cook. After culinary school, Patrick moved to New York where he now works as a private chef for celebrities.
