Indianapolis outlaws keeping dogs outside in high heat
Is it really hot outside? Then you may need to bring your dog inside if you live in Indianapolis. It's the law.
A relatively new ordnance in Indianapolis says that you must provide your dog with shaded shelter when the temperature reaches 80 degrees Fahrenheit and you must bring your dog inside when the temps hit 90 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, according to Fox59.com.
It also requires you to bring in the dog when it is 20 degrees or lower.)
The law also outlines rules about sheltering and tethering your dog.
You can be fined $25 for a first offense and $200 for subsequent offense. Also, a judge could take your pet away from you.
