Isaias is currently a tropical storm, but it is expected to strengthen back into a Hurricane and will sweep across the eastern seaboard of the United States next week.

Expect clearing this afternoon. Temperatures will be much cooler with highs in the upper 70s. No more heat wave! We will see some clearing tonight with drier skies and low temperatures in the low 70s. The weekend will be warm and humid with a few showers here and there, especially on Sunday and beyond. We are keeping an eye on hurricane Isaias which is now heading toward Florida but could continue up th east coast with impacts here Tuesday into Wednesday.

Morning 4.2-magnitude earthquake strikes San Fernando Valley, waking SoCal residents

Many Southern California residents were woken up by a jolt early Thursday morning as a preliminary 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck the San Fernando Valley followed by a series of aftershocks, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
