A doctor who survived last week's shooting at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital has recovered enough to share his amazing story. Dr. Hassan Tariq feared the worst seconds after a gunman burst into the hospital exam room and started shooting. Tariq said he was hit and went into shock and didn?t even feel pain.

Police sources close to the investigation said that cop killer Alexander Bonds has an extensive criminal history with more than half a dozen arrests, including one for assaulting a police officer with brass knuckles in 2002. Bonds made numerous rants against police officers on what is believed to be his Facebook page. Sources said Bonds was on parole for a robbery in Syracuse, after doing seven years. His past arrests include drug arrests and other offenses.

The NYPD on Tuesday arrested a Bronx man with a long rap sheet in the shooting of a 5-year-old boy on the street in Morrisania a day earlier. Authorities charged Michael Quiles, 27, with attempted murder. He was involved in a dispute with two guys and fired several shots at them outside a building on Washington Avenue at about 5:15 p.m. Those men weren't hit, but a boy was hit once in the head, police said.

The DOI report found Ponte used his city-issued SUV for 90 days' worth of out-of-state trips, mostly to his home in Maine.
