Where to go on City Island
City Island is a small community in the Bronx, surrounded by the Long Island Sound and Eastchester Bay. The vibe is a lot more Cape Cod than New York City. As you can imagine, in these parts seafood rules. One of the most popular places to get it is Sammy's Fish Box. Around since the 1960s, this restaurant stays packed. From lobster and crab legs to fried calamari and soft shell crab, if it comes from the sea you'll find it on the menu.
