Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, calling him a "phony Vietnam con artist." He tweeted "never in the U.S. has anyone lied or defrauded voters" like Blumenthal.

He resigned to run for New York City mayor but lost to Bill de Blasio. This time around, Lhota will serve as chairman and delegate the day-to-day CEO duties to a permanent executive director. President Trump said that some of what Comey told the Senate intelligence committee proves he was right and some of it was just not true.
