Man shot by trooper after firing at police
MANSFIELD, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut State Police say a trooper has shot a man who fired at police as they arrived to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.
Sgt. Eric Haglund says the shooting happened Tuesday night in Mansfield. The man was flown to a hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.
Haglund says a trooper suffered a minor injury but was not shot.
Authorities have not released the names of the injured man or the troopers involved.
