On Oct. 1 at about 9:45 p.m., two gunmen approached a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy in a playground on Sterling Place. The suspects opened fire on the teens grazing the 15-year-old boy in the shoulder and shooting the 16-year-old in the leg.
An ambulance transported the 16-year-old boy to an area hospital. The 15-year-old went to the hospital on his own.
Both victims were in stable condition.

Earlier this week, a 13-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the shooting of another 13-year-old boy in the Hunts Point Playground. The boy, who goes by the nickname ‘Chulo,’ was charged with attempted murder, assault, and harassment.
