Inside the U.S. Mint at West Point

About an hour-and-a-half drive north from New York City lies a treasure: the gold kind. But you can't go and find it. In fact, you can't get anywhere near it. Because this treasure belongs to the United States Department of the Treasury. Nearly a quarter of the U.S. government's gold sits beneath a windowless building on the campus of the United States Military Academy at West Point.
