Winter storm forecast

Snow, sleet, and freezing rain will hit the New York area on Tuesday. An extended period of sleet could keep the overall snow totals down, however. The National Weather Service has issued Winter Storm Warnings for northwestern New Jersey, western Connecticut, and a huge swath of New York (including the Hudson Valley, Capital Region, Southern Tier, Catskills, Central New York, and more.
