Mayor Adams attends Queens safety event after violent jewelry store robbery

New York City Mayor Eric Adams visited Flushing, Queens on Saturday to host an event on safety and reducing crime, just a few days after a group of thieves pistol-whipped and assaulted a 79-year-old woman nearby in a million-dollar jewelry store heist. Business owners in the area say crime is becoming more of an issue.
