The film investigates the Diamond Princess' cruise in January 2020, when few people knew about the coronavirus. The deadly virus turned the cruise into a nightmare after a passenger tested positive for COVID-19 and the ship had to be quarantined. Quested said this cruise was the first super-spreader event outside China that anyone had any insight into. And even after this outbreak, cruise ships continued to set sail for several weeks.

Kove says the writers are brilliant and he expects the show to keep going. "Ralph [Macchio], Billy [Zabka] and ? I we have a ball," Kove says.
