Mets beat Cubs 4-1 in Game 2 of the NLCS

Daniel Murphy's postseason for the ages continued on Sunday, and it's now granted him a special place in Mets postseason history in the Mets 4-1 win over the Cubs in Game 2 of the NLCS.

The two-run shot, which hooked just inside the right-field foul pole, was Murphy's fifth of the postseason, which slotted him atop the record books.The 30-year-old infielder has now become the first player in Mets history to hit five home runs in a single postseason, and has tied Mike Piazza for the most career postseason home runs in franchise history.

Murphy is also the first player in the team's history to hit a home run in four consecutive postseason games.

Equally as impressive as Murphy's home run tear are the pitchers off of which he's hit the home runs, which include Zack Greinke, Clayton Kershaw (twice), Jon Lester, and Jake Arrieta.

The Mets face the Cubs again on Tuesday for Game 3 of the NLCS in Chicago.

New York leads the series 2-0.
