Woman writes emotional response to life before dying from cancer
AUSTRALIA (FOX5NY) - An Australian woman lost her battle to cancer, but her words on Facebook has caught the attention of thousands.
Holly Butcher, 27, from Brisbane, Australia, left behind an emotional and honest message covering a range of life topics posted on Facebook, which has turned into a memorial page following her death on January 4, according to a post.
“That’s the thing about life; It is fragile, precious and unpredictable and each day is a gift, not a given right,” she wrote in her message.
She continued to encourage others to not worry over materialistic things in life. She recommends spending money on experiences and valuing other people’s time.
I swear you will not be thinking of those things when it is your turn to go. It is all SO insignificant when you look at life as a whole. I’m watching my body waste away right before my eyes with nothing I can do about it and all I wish for now is that I could have just one more Birthday or Christmas with my family, or just one more day with my partner and dog. Just one more.
