WATCH: 'Gilmore Girls' revival teaser; November release date

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - The Netflix revival series of "Gilmore Girls" will debut the day after Thanksgiving.

Netflix released a teaser trailer announcing the release date of Nov. 25, 2016. The revival is made up of four 90-minute episodes, each spanning a season of a year. The show is official called "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life."

The original show aired for seven seasons from 2000 to 2007 on the WB and later the CW. It was set in a small, quirky fictional Connecticut town.

Original stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, who play mother and daughter, returned for the revival as did many supporting actors, including comedy star Melissa McCarthy.

Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, who left the show after 6 seasons in a contract dispute, returned for the new limited series.
