Thieves make off with thousands of dollars' worth of scotch

RIVER EDGE, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey police are searching for the six thieves who broke into a River Edge liquor store and stole high-end scotch worth tens of thousands of dollars.

The heist took place on Friday, when video shows the suspects using shopping carts to block an aisle while they broke into a locked case of liquor and removed bottles. Among the stolen items were a bottle of 1952 Tullibardine, a 50-year-old bottle of Highland Park and Macallan V5 Reflexion valued at nearly $52,000.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspects, who remain at large.

Police are investigating and ask anyone with information to call them.
