Teen arrested in rape of elderly woman

An 18-year-old has been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of an 82-year-old woman in Brooklyn.

Asa Robert hid in the woman's Brooklyn apartment on Madison St. while she was outside sweeping the street, according to police.

Once she returned Robert demanded money from her at knife point.  

He then stayed at the apartment for several hours before raping her and running off, added police.

Details about the assault in the early morning hours of July 13 along with surveillance video and a description of the suspect were released by police.

On Friday, Roberts was taken into police custody after reportedly eluding police twice earlier this week, reported the NY Daily News.

The victim was treated at Kings County Hospital.
