Jose Amaya-Guardado, 17, was attacked with a machete and bured alive, according to police in Homestead, Florida.

Police in Homestead, Florida have reportedly arrested a fourth person in connection with the horrific killing of a 17-year-old boy.

Jose Amaya-Guardado was lured into the woods, hacked with a machete and buried alive, according to police.

The gruesome assault took place on June 28 on the campus of Homestead Job Corps, a training program run by the U.S. Department of Labor.

Three of the alleged assailants were arrested last week. The fourth was picked up Wednesday. They are being held at the Miami-Dade County Jail.

Court documents show the group had planned Amaya-Guardado's killing two weeks earlier, reported the Miami-Herald.

The assailants were identified by police as Kaheem Arbelo, 20, Christian Colon, 19,  Jonathan Lucas, 18, and Desiray Strickland, 18.

Arbelo, the alleged ringleader, and Strickland, had sex near the crime scene moments after Amaya Guardado was killed, according to court documents.

The family of the victim created a fundraising page to help defray funeral costs.

"A crime is bad, but what Jose suffered was horrible. Jose was a peaceful young man and he was fun with his friends.  Some thought he was 'antisocial' but he was shy.  During the weekends Jose worked at the Flea Market selling ice cream to help his family. We have to afront this situation and pray for his soul, and for the one or those who committed this crime," wrote Ana Amaya, the victim's cousin.

The teens allegedly wiped blood off a nearby fence before burning the teen's belongings and their own clothes.
