Teen accepted to 113 colleges and universities

A North Carolina high school senior has 113 college options to choose from after being accepted to all the schools to which she applied.

Jasmine Harrison, 17, is graduating on May 24 with a perfect GPA and a projected 4.0 grade point average.

In an interview with a local TV news station, Harrison said she received full rides to three schools: Ed Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida; Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, Mississippi; and Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina.

She was also awarded more than $4.5 million in merit-based scholarships.

She reportedly used the Common Black College Application for some of the schools and took advantage of a college application week in North Carolina that made many of the applications free of charge.

In all, Harrison spent $135 in application fees.

"On those late nights when I was filling out those applications with my mom and we just felt like we cannot do this, we just ended up singing gospel songs together to get through the night." Harrison told WFMY.

In New Orleans, a high school senior was accepted to 83 schools and was awarded $3 million in scholarships.
