Subway rider stabbed in mouth by attacker
NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - A New York City straphanger was lucky to survive without serious injuries when a deranged creep stabbed him in the mouth with a pen and threw his belongings onto the tracks during a robbery.
The NYPD says it happened in Manhattan on a Thursday night last month. At approximately 10 p.m. the unidentified man approached a 36-year-old man on the northbound #6 train and followed him onto the platform at 125th Street and Lexington Avenue.
The suspect stabbed the victim in the mouth with a pen, threw the victim's belonging on the train tracks and ran off with the man's phone.
Police did not describe the victim's injuries but said he did not require hospitalization.
The man they are looking for is described as Hispanic, around 5-years-old, 6' and appropriately 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing his hair in a bun, a beige t-shirt and dark pants.
