State trooper's DWI stop caught on dash cam

A New Jersey state trooper is facing DWI charges after a Garden State Parkway crash that was recored on his dash camera.

The incident happened last month but NJ.com just published video from the actual recording.

It repots that Sgt. First Class Michael Roadside tells another trooper that "I'm not drunk."

Another driver called 911 after she said Roadside's erratic behavior made her fear for her own safety.

Roadside reamins suspended without pay.  He blamed his slurred speech on anesthesia from a medical procedure.

"I've go to get home," he is recorded as saying in the video.

Roadside, a 28-year trooper, was charged with DWI, Careless Driving, and Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle.
