Residents happy about new lighting at Boulevard Houses

The New York City Housing Authority has completed installation of new lights at Boulevard Houses in Brooklyn.

It's a small win but noteworthy. And it is important to the people who live here. They say they appreciate NYCHA and the mayor. It's not just around the basketball courts. But 504 of them -- all LED.

Exterior lighting is one prong of mayor's action plan -- a $140 million comprehensive effort to improve security at 15 NYCHA sites, home to nearly 62,000 residents.
