Queens bakery uses 3D printing
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - After years as an accomplished architect, Peter Zaharatos satisfied his sweet tooth and opened Sugarcube, a dessert and coffee bar in Long Island City, Queens.
But these aren't your average pastries and sweets. Zaharatos designed many of them as he would a building, with a 3D printer bringing his concepts into reality.
Once the design is in place, Sugarcube's executive pastry chef Mauricio Santelice translates the architectural vision into delicious desserts.
Sugarcube is located at 10-16 50th Avenue in Long Island City.
