Police: Woman told men seeking sex to go into random homes

BORDENTOWN, N.J. (AP) - Police think they have solved the mystery of why men in a New Jersey town were walking into homes, knocking on doors looking for an unknown woman and in one case, kicking in a door.

They say a woman posing as a prostitute took the men's money and told them to meet at the front doors of random homes in Bordentown for sex.

Authorities say 22-year-old Ashley Briddle of Bordentown took off with the cash and never met the men.

She was arrested on Monday and charged with prostitution and theft after a sting.

The suspect could not be reached for comment.
