Podesta: "dump all those emails," says WikiLeaks

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - In the latest batch of Clinton campaign emails made public by hacking site, WikiLeaks, John Podesta, campaign chairman and longtime Clinton association wrote: "dump all those emails.”

The message was sent to staffer Cheryl Mills, the same day Clinton’s use of a private computer server while US secretary of state was made public.

Clinton may have violated federal requirements that government correspondence be retained as part of the State Department's records.

“Not to sound like Lanny, but we are going to have to dump all those emails so better to do so sooner than later," wrote Podesta.

It is not clear what he meant by "dump." ” “Lanny”  is reportedly a reference to lawyer Lanny Davis, who worked as special counsel to then-President Bill Clinton, reported the NY Post.

About a week after the exchange, Clinton announced that she had deleted about 30,000 personal emails.

Hackers earlier this year stole more than 50,000 emails of Clinton’s campaign chairman, an audacious electronic attack blamed on Russia’s government and one has resulted in embarrassing political disclosures about Democrats in the final weeks before the U.S. presidential election.
