NJ Transit trains back on track

Service was back to normal on NJ Transit trains into and out of NY Penn Station Wednesday afternoon.

Trains on the Northeast Corridor, NJ Coastline and Raritan Valley lines were completely suspended due to overhead wire problems.

A power outage at 5:45 a.m. affecting both tubes of the Hudson River tunnel, some station tracks and portions of Sunnyside Yard stalled service for the morning commute. The south tube remained out, meaning trains had only one track available until 7:45 a.m.

PATH, NJ Transit Bus, NY Waterway and private carriers cross-honored NJ Transit rail passes during the service disruption.
