A man in Paramus, New Jersey is using Mother Nature to battle herself.

Raj Parikh says he outfitted his home's driveway with an underground heat exchange system that melts snow.

Parikh's one-of-a-kind geothermal/solar snow-melt system reportedly melted an inch-and-a-half of snow an hour during Saturday's winter blast.

As he explains it on Facebook, the device can also capture the water for other uses.

"Real-life proof of concept that using nature to battle nature is the way to do it. It may not keep up above 1 inch/hour, but it will work longer than the snow falls. Stay safe and warm! ‪#‎ecofabulous‬," Parikh wrote.
