New Jersey task force helped Hurricane Matthew victims
NEW JERSEY (FOX 5 NEWS) - A New Jersey task force of 80 men and women deployed to help rescue the people of North Carolina after Hurricane Matthew left parts of the state underwater.
The team is made up of police, fire and emergency personnel. On October 6, New Jersey Task Force One set out on their latest mission, but this one was different. It was their first one as a FEMA team. They spent hours on the road, traveling with a convoy of 18 vehicles and 5 inflatable boats.
Their efforts helped 115 people and 30 dogs escape the devastating floods.
