New Anonymous video warns of World War III
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - The hacker group known as Anonymous has published a new video warning of a third world war sparked between the United States and North Korea.
"Watching as each country moves strategic pieces into place, but unlike past world wars, although there will be ground troops, the battle is likely to be fierce, brutal and quick," says a narrator in a Guy Fawkes mask.
The computerized-sounding voice goes on to say "the citizen will be the last to know. In a nutshell, China has reportedly told its citizens living in North Korea to waste no time returning home... The Chinese are desperate to avert a war."
In April, the Japanese government admitted that people across the country would have precious little time to take cover from a North Korean missile attack.
“Depending on the case, the warnings and alarms might only sound four or five minutes before a missile arrives," said Osaka Mayor Hirofumi Yoshimura.
In the video posted by Anonymous on Saturday, the narrator says “All the signs of a looming war on the Korean peninsula are surfacing."
The video ends with “Prepare for what comes next,” they say. “We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget.”
