Mother, son brutally killed in Bronx home

Police are investigating the brutal killings of a 51-year-old woman and her teenage son in the Bronx.

Marisol Ortiz and Alanche Delorbe, 14, were found bludgeoned to death in their apartment on East 185th St. in the Belmont section of the borough at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, according to police.

Both were reportedly bashed with a heavy weight.  Ortiz was also stabbed in the head and  her son, just a day shy of his fifteenth birthday, was strangled, sources told the NY Post.

The killer threw torn-up money on Ortiz's body before fleeing.

An exercise weight was reportedly found near the bodies.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say a family member called 911 after discovering the bodies.

There have been no arrests.

Police were searching for the Ortiz's boyfriend, sources told the NY Post.
