Hundreds of protesters took the streets in New York Friday night. They weaved from Union Square through the East Village, clamoring for the country to recognize it has a race problem that must be addressed.

A cross-section of New Yorkers attended the Black Lives Matter protest, the racial diversity of which also mattered to those who want a change in policy.

This second night of protest following the police killing of black men this week in different cities also took place under a cloud of sadness following the Dallas shooting.

We spotted Jemeil Defreitas with his daughter Jayde making the point black or blue nobody should be killing anybody.

On Thursday, police arrested a few dozen protesters in Manhattan.
