Man found dead on NYC subway train

Police in New York City found a man dead on a subway train on Sunday.  He had what police describe as "trauma" to his head.

It happened about 10:30 p.m. on a southbound "4" train at the 14th Street/Union Square subway station.  The man was reportedly crossing between subway cars and somehow fell and hit his head.

A man posted a photo of the bloody scene on Twitter.  It shows the man on the floor of the train with what looks like a fellow passenger attempting to take the victim's pulse.

The NYPD responded to a 911 for an unconscious man.  When they got there the 33-year-old man was unconscious and unresponsive.  EMS responded and took the man to Beth Israel Medical Center but it was too late to save his life.

The Medical Examiner will determine the manner and cause of death.  The police investigation was continuing.

The Twitter user who posted the photo said:  "Folks, whatever you do while riding the subway, please do not attempt to move between cars while the train is moving, this poor soul did, and now he's no more..."
