Islamic terror plot to kill British prime minister foiled, report claims

A terror plot to assassinate Prime Minister Theresa May has reportedly been foiled.

Sky News reported that the plan was to launch some sort of improvised explosive device at Downing Street and, in the ensuing chaos, attack and kill May.

Two men were arrested last week according to the report.

Naa'imur Zakariyah Rahman, 20, and Mohammed Aqib Imran, 21, were due in court on terror charges on Wednesday.

There have been several terror attacks in London in the past year.

In March, five people died in a car attack on Westminster Bridge.  In May, 22 people died in a suicide bombing outside of Manchester Arena and 11 peopled dies in a terror attack on the London Bridge.
