BuzzFeed was forced to send viewers to YouTube to watch a live interview that was touted as the first interview with a president on Facebook Live.  The feed went down before the president arrived.  BuzzFeed was ridiculed in the comments section of their Facebook post promoting the event.

The stream started as BuzzFeed's Chris Geidner sat alone in the Roosevelt Room of the White House awaiting the president's arrival.  The stream went down less than two minutes into the event.  The 20-minute interview was streamed live on YouTube instead.   Geidner interviewed Obama about his Supreme Court nominee.

BuzzFeed and Facebook had not released a statement on the incident.
