Employee buys boy sneakers for Christmas

A Florida Foot Locker employee showed her Christmas spirit. She bought a pair of Nike shoes for a 10-year-old stranger.

Ten-year-old Jonas Nielsen went into a Foot Locker in Leesburg, Florida, two weeks ago and asked to try on a pair of Nike Air Jordan shoes.

His mother said they can't afford the sneakers.

When 18-year-old Jadyn Vasquez overheard the conversation, she asked Jonas' mom if she could purchase the shoes for the boy.

“She hesitated at first and said ‘no,’ but I said it was Christmas so she said okay,” said Vasquez

Vasquez said she was in foster care when she was Jonas’ age and never got a pair of fancy sneakers like those, so she wanted to give Jonas a chance to have it.
