Doggie 'Olympics'
NEW JERSEY (FOX 5 NEWS) - The Morris Animal Inn pet care facility in Morristown, New Jersey, is giving the Rio Olympics a run for its money.
As the dogs competed in a series of events, the fee that their human caregivers paid to have them participate went to a good cause, with a portion of the proceeds contributing to the purchase of a wheelchair for fellow canine Josie who has lost her mobility.
And as the dogs lucky enough to enjoy the fun and games today accepted their medals, they brought Josie one step closer to being able to do the same one day.
If you'd like to sign your dog up for the Morris Inn Doggie Olympics, the event runs through July 28. You can get more information at MorrisAnimalInn.com.
If you'd like to help animals like Josie in need of wheelchairs, you can donate at hpets.org.
