Dishwashing duties can affect relationships

The happiness of a couple could depend on something as simple as doing the dishes together.

Washing dishes is the worst... at least for women.

That's according to a new report from the Non-profit Council of Contemporary Families.

But if dishwashing is split evenly women report higher levels of satisfaction in their relationship.

Other household chores, such as doing the laundry, shopping, and cleaning can also make a difference depending on how it's split up between romantic partners. While sharing tasks can increase mutual desire, the study's author says, "Today, love is based on shared interests, activities, and emotions."
