Cops arrest men for climbing Bear Mountain Bridge

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. (AP) -- Three men have been arrested after police say they climbed to the top of New York's Bear Mountain Bridge.

The Journal News reports that authorities brought down the trio after spotting them at around 1:20 a.m. Monday.

Police did not immediately identify them. They say they're between 18 and 21 years old and are from College Park, Maryland, Bellmore, Long Island and Brooklyn.

The three face misdemeanor trespass and disorderly conduct charges.

Bear Mountain Bridge is a suspension bridge on the Hudson River about 48 miles north of New York City.
