Armed man in 'Scream' mask holds up car wash
INSIDE EDITION - Cops in Tennessee say some thieves took a cue from a hit horror movie franchise while holding up a car wash Wednesday.
One of two men who Memphis police say held up the business Wednesday did so in the famous ghostface mask, popularized by the 1996 film Scream and its subsequent follow-up films.
Now authorities wish to unmask the culprits, and are nearly 100 percent sure they aren't Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich.
The Memphis Police Department says the suspects entered Zips Car Wash at about 8:10 p.m. and, after holding up the attendant at gunpoint, took money from the register and fled the scene on foot.
Police are searching for two black males who are around 5-foot-9-inches tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds.
To help avoid any regrettable sequels, anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call police. Callers may remain anonymous.
If an arrest is made, tipsters could be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers of Memphis and Shelby County, Inc.
