First Sgt. Jonathan Green is a spokesman for the Maryland Transportation Authority Police. He says a passenger on Spirit Airlines Flight 969 was watching a media report on his smart phone Tuesday morning, and this report caused the passenger next to him "some concern."

Green says the passenger alerted a flight attendant and the crew decided to return the plane, which was taxiing to the runway, to the gate. Green says the captain asked police to remove three men and a woman from the plane.

Green says all four were released without charges after a few hours. He described them as a husband, wife and relative traveling together and a third man who was sitting near them.
