1990s fashions make a comeback

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - With two major figures from the 1990s running for president, we're also experiencing Deja vu when it comes to fashion. A quick review of the runways reveals that what's old is new again.

If you scroll through Instagram, it's pretty clear that the biggest trends of the 1990s are back on the runways.  Everything from overalls and chokers to mom jeans and dark lipstick is making a mark on 2016.

The cyclical nature of fashion means that what may have once been considered dated is now fresh according to Lindsay Brooke Weiss the stylist behind the blog Coco in Cashmere.

So dig up those acid wash jeans, lace up your doc martens, and wear them with pride.
