104-year-old WWII veteran performs saxophone national anthem at Islanders-Rangers game
At 104 years old, Dominic Critelli says music is his fountain of youth — and he proved it by performing the national anthem before the Islanders-Rangers game at UBS Arena. Critelli, a decorated World War II veteran who immigrated from Italy as a child, has played the saxophone for decades and still practices music every day. FOX 5’s Jody Goldberg spoke with him ahead of the performance, where he shared his outlook on life, longevity and why he has no plans of slowing down. Fans gave him a standing ovation after a performance many won’t soon forget.
