NYC storm tapers off Wednesday after one final round of Tuesday downpours
A severe storm system brings heavy downpours and lightning to Manhattan and Brooklyn Monday night, keeping a regional flood watch in effect until 6 a.m. Tuesday. Tuesday brings high humidity, mid-70s and a threat of nasty afternoon thunderstorms with damaging winds. The system clears out by Wednesday, giving way to sunny skies and beautiful mid-80s through Thursday.
