Transit union raises concerns about NYC bus maintenance and safety

Transport Workers Union Local 100 says some Metropolitan Transportation Authority buses in New York City may have been sent into service despite maintenance concerns, including worn brake pads. The MTA says buses with safety issues are not put into service and that it follows established safety guidelines.
